Maintaining the Highest Health Standards

In a post-COVID-19 world, sanitation is critical.

Urbana Place Senior Living is dedicated to your health and safety, which is why we have instituted new protocols and cleaning procedures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Ensuring our tenants and residents are cared for in a safe and healthy environment is our first priority.

Our community is following the recommendations of the CDC on prevention steps, including following strict handwashing procedures, and will wear gowns and gloves when interacting with tenants who present symptoms. We also are staying up to date with the CDC recommendations as they may continue to change. In addition, we are in close contact with the local and state health department, and we are following their guidance.

The CDC has done a careful review of the death rate in the elderly, especially those with dementia or chronic diseases. Experts are recommending we take action to limit individuals from entering our building and to ensure sick employees stay home. We offer hand washing and alcohol-based hand sanitizer stations throughout the building. We exercise proper hand washing hygiene as well as coughing and sneezing etiquette and avoid shaking hands and hugs with any individual. Our residents are encouraged to stay home as we offer additional support as needed with virtual visits, organizing the delivery of essential items, and providing engaging activities within their own apartments or small groups.

We are providing daily health screens for all residents, and have increased sanitizing and disinfecting protocols. The apartments have individual heating and cooling systems so the residents aren’t having to share duct work with their neighbors, this also helps reduce the spread of infection. Residents are socially distanced and wear masks when outside of their apartment and we encourage frequent handwashing.  The vaccine for COVID-19 is being rolled in out ou community and will be offered to residents, staff and essential caregivers.

The current COVID-19 outbreak situation means that it is critical that we take every precaution possible to keep you and your loved ones safe.

We loved celebrating our Urbana ladies today at our Mother’s Day Tea Social! Tea, treats, trivia, and time together made our afternoon so enjoyable. A rose was sent home with each beautiful gal at the end of our event🌷. We hope they felt the love today because goodness, do they deserve it! Happy Mother’s Day to all!❤️ #AgingMagnificently See MoreSee Less

Happy Mother’s Day to all you Moms!

Wow! Would have been nice to have my mom join in on the Mother’s Day festivities. 🫠

Thank you for hosting such a beautiful tea party to all these wonderful moms at Urbana! It was a special tribute to honor moms with the delicious treats, flowers and love.

Best mamas ever🥰

🐴 It was a mare-velous day for some horseplay! We sipped on mint julep mocktails and tried to pick the winning horse! It’s all the luck of the dice, but we still had fun horsing around! 🐎 #sparklives #AgingMagnificently #urbanaplaceseniorliving #LifeSpark See MoreSee Less

This looks like so much fun!!

Today, our Executive Leadership Team had the incredible opportunity to meet with the dedicated social workers at North Memorial Hospital – Maple Grove.

We spent time learning from each other, sharing insights about Urbana Place Senior Living, and most importantly, discussing the real challenges social workers face when discharging patients to assisted living.

Open communication like this helps us grow stronger together. It’s about more than transitions—it’s about collaboration, trust, and showing#urbanaplaceseniorliving##CollaborationInCarei#SeniorLivingWithHearte #BuildingBridgesh#LifeSparki#sparklivess#powerofpurposearklives

It’s always heartwarming to see friendships bloom!

What started as neighbors has turned into true camaraderie—with shared laughter, stories, and even a taste of something adventurous like escargot!

This spirited group recently gathered over a glass of wine proving that friendship has no age limit.

Cheers to connection and curi#agingmagnifientlym#powerofpurposew#LifeSparke#sparklives

It certainly smelt good!

What an experience… It was so yummy and I wasn't expecting it to be so delicious 💜

A big thank you to Ted from the Alzheimer’s Association for putting on another wonderful Dementia Education Series! We’re so grateful to partner with you in sharing such valuable information with our community.

It means so much to be able to provide a welcoming space where people can come together, learn, and share their experiences.

We’re already looking forward to the next session—but we’d love to hear from YOU!
